FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How long does it take to get to LSU on game day?
    A good run to LSU with game day traffic is about 2 hours. (Please be aware google will tell you otherwise, but that is not a realistic number). Rest assured we want to get you there as quickly as possible and have literally spent years figuring out the fastest way into the game.
  • Is there a bathroom on the bus?
    Yes! There is a bathroom on all Baton Rouge Blitz buses.
  • Can I leave items on the bus?
    Yes! The bus that you take to the game will be waiting in the parking lot until departure time. Please keep in mind that the drivers are “off the clock” during the games and often lock the bus doors until the beginning of the 4th quarter.
  • What time does the bus depart from New Orleans?
    The bus departs from New Orleans exactly 5 hours before kickoff.
  • Do you offer private buses?
    We do! However private bus availability can sell out weeks or months in advance. Please give us a call well in advance to reserve a private bus. 504-494-0424
  • Is a ticket to the game included in the price of the bus ticket?
    No! A Baton Rouge Blitz ticket is only for round trip transportation to the game from New Orleans.
  • Where in New Orleans does the bus depart from?
    The bus departs from the downtown New Orleans Marriott at 555 Canal St.
  • Where in LSU does the bus park?
    At the officially designated LSU bus parking lot about 3 blocks from the stadium.
  • Do I need to pre-purchase tickets?
    We highly recommend that you book your seats as early as possible, as we often sell out weeks or months in advance.
  • What happens if I am late getting to the bus?
    You will be left. The bus LEAVES the New Orleans Marriott (555 Canal St). exactly 5 hours prior to kickoff and LEAVES Baton Rouge exactly one hour after the game ends. We suggest arriving at the pickup location at least 30 minutes earlier so that we can get you checked in on time.
  • Can I drink onboard?
    Yes! You are welcome to BYOB and there is room for large coolers under the bus.
  • What time does the bus depart LSU after the game?
    The buses depart exactly 1 hour after the game is over. Which is more than enough time to make your way back to the bus with plenty of time to spare.
  • Can kids come?
    Yes! Kids ages 5+ are welcome onboard, but please be aware that the buses are full of football fans.
  • Do you offer group discounts?
    Yes! Group discounts start at 15 people and include reserved seating. Give us a call for more information. 504-494-0424
  • What is the cancelation policy?
    We offer full refunds, no questions asked until 7 days prior to the game. Less than 7 days prior we are unable to refund. Also this is a rain or shine event.
  • Is there room to store a cooler?
    Larger coolers can be stored underneath the bus and smaller ones are welcome onboard. If they fit on your lap, they fit overhead or under your seat.
  • Can I leave items on the bus during the game?
    You are welcome to leave any items you like on board or underneath the bus, but Baton Rouge Blitz and the bus company are not responsible for your items. Please note that the bus will be locked from kick off, until the beginning of the 4th quarter.
  • Does the bus move once it parks at LSU?
    No! The bus will remain where it lets you off until 1 hour after the game.
  • If I am late will the bus wait?
    The bus will not wait and you will be left.
  • Where should I start my LSU adventure?
    We usually recommend heading to the left side of the stadium for the fan zone, Mike the tiger and the pregame parade.
  • When does the bus leave LSU?
    One hour after the game.
  • Do I ride on the same bus back?
    Yes! Please make sure to get on the exact same bus for the return trip
  • Can I come back to the bus early?
    The bus will be locked from kick off until the beginning of the 4th quarter, you are welcome to return any time after that.
  • Are there pedicabs on campus?
    Yes! There are usually lots of bike taxis available to get you around campus.
  • Can we play music on the bus?
    No, we only stream college football
  • Can I drink alcohol onboard?
    Yes! Have a good time and please be respectful of other riders and staff.
  • Do I need my return ticket?
    Yes! The tickets are how we confirm who is supposed to be on the return trip.
  • What route do we take to get there?
    We have found that the back route along the Mississippi River tends to have the least amount of traffic.
